Fiona Cater was the guide for our group trip entitled Journey of the Sacred. She was extremely knowledgeable about the religious history of the sites we were visitiing and was able to connect the general and religious history in order to make it interesting. One of the leaders has a doctorate from Cambridge; he stated that Fiona could easily teach history at a bible seminary! Fiona was also able to handle any issues that arose from other vendors - coach, restaurant, hotel etc - in a respectful but efficient manner. It was apparent that this is not just a job for Fiona but a passion. I would definitely recommend her to any group , but especially for those looking to learn about religious history of historical sites in London and surrounding areas.

I can vouch for Fiona as an excellent tour guide. She is an
expert on all the things you’d need her to be expert on: English Christianity,
Cathedrals, the Reformation, etc. Our people were fascinated and loved
the trip. They really loved it.

If you are travelling to England, and are considering a tour guide, look no further than Fiona Cater.
a group from my church toured London and surrounding areas. Our
primary interest focused on Christian history. For eight days, we
visited a variety of locations including Westminster Abbey, Windsor
Castle, Canterbury Cathedral and Fountains Abbey. Although the focus of
our tour covered hundreds of years and countless individuals Fiona
guided our group with intelligence, wit and grace. Fiona's extensive
knowledge of English and church history placed the places we toured in
an exciting and
context. I learned a tremendous amount about English Church history
from Fiona. Additionally Fiona effortlessly handled all logistical
aspects of our tour. From history to tickets to high tea, Fiona
provided us with a great tour. I highly recommend her.

We just finished a week in London and the surrounding area with Fiona Cater. She really went the extra mile for us, to ensure that we were taken care of before, during and after our time with her. I appreciated her personable but always professional manner. Before the trip, I just told her what we wanted to see, how much time we had and our approximate budget. She took care of all the details, such as planning and even re-planning an efficient itinerary, arranging for public and private transportation and purchasing entrance tickets. When we arrived she was waiting for us at the airport, and made sure we knew how to navigate on the London public transport system before leaving us for the day. She came all the way out to our hotel, and even purchased the Oyster Cards for us at another station, when it looked like there was a problem with the machine at our station and brought them to us at our hotel the next morning. We have two sons, ages 7 and 8, and she related well to them, and gently kept us on schedule. The children both adored her by the end of the tour.
We are a homeschooling family, and wanted a mix of secular and
Christian history. We toured Windsor Castle, The National Gallery, Tower
of London, Westminster Abbey, London city walking tour, St. Paul's Cathedral,
The British Museum, and the National Library, with day trips to both York and
Canterbury, including Leeds Castle. I didn't even know about Leeds
Castle, and it was such a beautiful place that I was glad she included it in
the itinerary while we were close to it. We appreciated all the details
she added along the way, pointing out obscure but important sites relating to
Christian History and the Reformation. She also led us to restaurants in
the areas that featured what we wanted to experience while we were there:
Fish and Chips and mushy peas, and Yorkshire pudding. She even treated
the children to a Terry's chocolate orange while we were in York.
Her tour of the British Museum and the National Library are
absolutely astounding, and are not to be missed! She showed us artefact after artefact that validate Biblical accounts and people. It was well
organized, so it was easy to follow, and she read the Bible verses by each
display that related to what we were seeing. It was the highlight of our
We would gladly book another tour with Fiona, and highly recommend
her as a truly professional and competent guide with stellar customer service.
